Welcome
A week set aside entirely for you.
Step away from the demands of everyday life and give yourself five nights of genuine rest. At the Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in the historic town of Trim, you will settle into a gentle daily rhythm of yoga, Ayurvedic therapies, nourishing food and unhurried time to yourself, guided throughout by Dr Rajvinder Kaur and the team from The Ayurveda Centre.
Ayurveda, “the knowledge of life”, is one of the world’s oldest systems of natural health care. This retreat brings its principles into daily practice in a comfortable, beautiful setting, with personal attention at every step. You will leave rested, better informed about your own constitution, and with a practical plan to carry the benefits home.

Is This Retreat for You?
This retreat will suit you if you:
- want a full week of uninterrupted time for yourself. Travelling alone is very welcome
- prefer a considered, personal approach to wellbeing over a standard spa break
- are curious about Ayurveda, whether you are new to it or already practise
- would like to reset your routines, switch off from screens and return home with a clear plan
Your Retreat Experience
Four pillars, shaped around you.
Personal Consultations with a Vaidya
Meet one-to-one with Dr Rajvinder for an unhurried assessment of your health, digestion, sleep, energy and lifestyle. Together you will identify your individual constitution, or dosha (Vata, Pitta or Kapha), and understand where your balance may be under strain. Two consultations are included, with more available if needed. You leave with tailored lifestyle routines and a forward healthcare plan.
Abhyanga and Ayurvedic Therapies
Our fully trained Ayurvedic therapists provide traditional warm-oil therapies, including Abhyanga, under Dr Rajvinder’s guidance, followed by time in the thermal steam rooms. Treatments are tailored to your constitution and are traditionally valued for deep relaxation and for soothing the nervous system. Three Abhyanga treatments are included.
Daily Yoga and Deep Relaxation
Begin each day with a calm, friendly and restorative yoga session, adapted to the group by our yoga teacher with Dr Rajvinder’s guidance to support flexibility, stability and ease. Close the day with Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of deep relaxation. Yoga classes are optional.
Self-Care and Learning
Short, interactive talks with Q&A show you how to build sustainable daily rituals, live in tune with the seasons and bring mindful routines into everyday life, so that the retreat stays with you after you leave.
Evenings to Remember
Midweek, an evening sound bath offers a special healing session. On Thursday, join us for a celebration night of music, group singing and good company.
Nourishment
Food as part of the healing.
Every meal is prepared by Chef Danziel, originally from Goa, who brings a family heritage of Eastern flavours and the Ayurvedic art of balancing spices. Menus are designed with Dr Rajvinder and built around organic, seasonal and easily digestible ingredients, largely plant-based, to support your digestion (Agni) and nourish your constitution, without compromising on flavour.
Dr Rajvinder will hold a short online session before you arrive to discuss any special requests or meal adjustments.
The Venue
Set on 186 acres of rolling parkland in the heritage town of Trim, Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort blends modern comfort with a deeply tranquil atmosphere.
- The River Spa. An award-winning spa with a thermal journey, swimming pool and treatment rooms, and your base for thermal therapies, aqua-relaxation and rest between sessions.
